Delhi Police launched “TATPAR” ONE – TOUCH APP With 50 Available Services at India Gate

On 18th September 2019, in a well attended function at the India Gate Lawn, Shri Anil Baijal, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi launched “TATPAR” One-Touch App, developed by the Delhi Police, in the presence of Shri Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police, and other senior government and police officials.


Over the last three years various Units of Delhi Police had developed web and mobile-based applications to facilitate delivery of citizen-centric services. These stand-alone applications, however, were required to be installed separately by the intending user, and further, in order to access the web-based service delivery portals, the correct URL was required to be remembered for every use. These were certain restrictive deterrents, and with a view to integrating the existing service-delivery mechanisms as also to add newer services by use of Geographical Information System (GIS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), a unified mobile application “TATPAR” One-Touch has been developed.“TATPAR” – literally signifying ever-readiness to respond – amalgamates all the websites and mobile applications of Delhi Police, and over 50 services can now be accessed with a single touch.Using the latest technological tools of Geo-Informatics, for the first time, a citizen can navigate to his nearest Police Station, Traffic Pit and Prepaid Taxi Booth by using “TATPAR”. On a single touch, the user will be provided with the directions as well as the complete contact details of the concerned service provider viz. the SHO of a Police Station or the In-charge of the Traffic Pit. This is a unique service being extended by the Delhi Police and will certainly be of great user value and generate high levels of user trust.Another highlight of “TATPAR” is the SOS Button provided on the home screen. It enables the user to place a call on an emergency contact number (SOS) of his/her choice or reach out to the Police Control Room at 100 with a single touch.

“TATPAR” amalgamates over 50 services, classified in three categories viz. Home, Information and Social. An indicative list is as under:

For designing developing and delivering “TATPAR”, MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology), NeGD (National E-Governance Division) and BISAG (Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics) have made commendable contributions. The Android version of “TATPAR”, fully compliant with all legal and administrative norms, is ready for launch and the iOS and bilingual versions of the same are under development and will be released for public use in the near Future.
