Diwali beings a few weeks away, it’s the time for the Melas, yess! Diwali Melas!!! These days, cultural programmes in the mela including magic and puppet shows are organized by professional artists and children to regale the crowd. Games and other fun-filled activities for children and grownups are usually a part of all Diwali Melas. Besides that, stalls of Indian handicrafts and other trinkets are also set up to let people go on a little shopping spree.

1. THE GRAND DIWALI CARNIVAL
Be ready to get your hands on the best home decor items, paintings, handicrafts along with jewellery, gift items and yummy food. And that not all! They have something. Special for everyone. For your kids (and your inner child) there will be puppet shows, rides, camel ride, cultural programs and lot more. And for the ladies, get some beautiful patterned bangles and mehandi designs for karwa chauth.

2. JLN DIWALI MELA

3. BLIND SCHOOL DIWALI MELA
An institutional in itself, Blind school Mela is one of the longest running Diwali mela’s. Most of the stalls here are put up by NGOs and have everything from colorful Diyas to home decor items.
Dates : 18th October – 24th October (Friday – Thursday)
Venue : Blind School Grounds – Near Oberoi Hotel, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Lodhi Road

4. PREET VIHAR DIWALI MELA
