OCTEGENARIAN AMNESIAC SENIOR CITIZEN REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY MEMBERS IN PANDAV NAGAR

The Staff of PS Patel Nagar has found one 81 years old amnesiac (a person experiencing a partial or total loss of memory) senior citizen wandering in West Patel Nagar, Delhi in the intervening night of 18-19.07.20 at about 2 AM. The old person was unable to recall address of his house.

INCIDENT & REUNION :

A PCR call vide DD No. 09 dated 19.07.20 received at PS Patel Nagar that an old man is roaming around who is unable to tell his home address. On receiving the said call, SI Manoj Kumar along with Ct Jainender reached at West Patel Nagar where caller Sh. Sanjay Sardhana met and stated that one old person was wandering in the street and stray dogs were barking at him so he made call to the police. Staff inquired from senior citizen, he stated his name Hariram Sharma (81 years) but due to old age, he was incoherent and unable to recall his house address. On persistent examination, he stated that he lives in DTC Colony. Thereafter, staff along with senior citizen went to DTC colony, Ranjeet Nagar and made search for his house but address could not be traced. Staff inquired from PS Ranjeet Nagar but no missing report was found lodged there in this regard.
Thereafter, staff took the old person to Pandav Nagar area and inquired from rickshaw pullers and persons sleeping at taxi stands. One rickshaw puller identified the old person as Panditji and took the staff to his house i.e. A-49, Pandav Nagar. The senior citizen was reunited with his family members.
