Interstate Gang mastermind who purchased Scorpio car and committed two back to back burglaries in the area of Karol Bagh before being nabbed on the third occasion

In view of the rising incidents of robbery, snatching, burglary and theft in the jurisdiction of sub-division Karol Bagh, Delhi, Sh. H.S.P Singh, ACP/Sub-Div Karol Bagh, Delhi called an urgent meeting of Insp. Manider Singh, SHO/Karol Bagh and Insp. Dheeraj Singh, SHO/Prasad Nagar to develop a strategy and a foolproof plan to curb such incident in future and also to arrest the offenders involve in such crime previously. In pursuance of directions of ACP/Karol Bagh, Delhi, two different dedicated teams, one in police station Prasad Nagar consisting of Insp. Anish Sharma, ATO/Parsad Nagar, SI Sanjay Kumar, ASI Suresh Kumar, HC Rohtash 124/C, HC Naveen 1973 Ct. Vijay 1820/C and Ct. Shyam Sunder, No. 1276/C under the supervision of Inspector Dheeraj Singh, SHO/Prasad Nagar and another dedicated team in police station Karol Bagh consisting SI Shri Narayan Ojha, ASI Lavkesh 196/C, HC Ravi Kumar Meena 1554/C, HC Dilshad 785/C, Ct. Bijender 1222/C, Ct. Harendra 2499/C and Ct. Rahul Tyagi 1536/C under the supervision of Insp. Maninder Singh, SHO/Karol Bagh and overall supervision of Sh. H.S.P. Singh, ACP/Karol Bagh were constituted and they were asked to work in collaboration of each other to have check over the such incidents and they were also assigned the task to gear up their resources and develop human intelligence about the accused persons.

INCIDENTS :

In the intervening night of 4/5.07.2020, an incident of burglary at shop no. T-1869, upper ridge road, Ashoka Pahari, Opp.-Naaz Cinema, Karol Bagh, Delhi was reported alleging therein that a safe/Tizori consisting of Rs. 1,93,907/- cash, Crompton company wall fan, one DVR attached with CCTV cameras and some packets were stolen. After registration of this case FIR under section 380/457 IPC, at PS Karol Bagh investigation was taken up by dedicated team mentioned above.

Another similar incident also took place in the intervening night of 6/7.07.2020 in the jurisdiction of PS Prasad Nagar in which again office at 5362/68, Regarpura, Karol Bagh, Delh was targeted and Canon printers, a gas cylinder and other articles were stolen. In this regard another FIR under section 380/457 IPC was registered at PS Prasad Nagar and investigation was taken up.

It is also mentioned here that in third similar incident a courier office in the name of SHADOW FAX TECHNOLOGY PVT LTD c/o Block-10, Dev Nagar, D.B.G Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi was targeted and cash amounting to Rs. 33,912 were stolen. In this regard a case FIR under section 380/457 IPC, PS Prasad Nagar h and investigation was taken up.

In another similar incident was also attempted in the same shop/courier office in the name of SHADOW FAX TECHNOLOGY PVT LTD c/o Block-10, Dev Nagar, D.B.G Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi was targeted in the month of march, 2020 and cash amounting to Rs. Appox. 2.61 Lac were stolen. In this regard a case FIR under section 380/457 IPC, PS Prasad Nagar was registered and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION :

During the course of investigation of first case reported at PS Karol Bagh, it has been revealed that a white color scorpio bearing No. DL-4CAV-3935 was involved in this case. During verification of the said registration no. of the car, it is revealed that this number belongs to an alto car owned by Mr. Karan Singh S/o Pal Singh R/o H.No. 48 Village Jaitpur, Badarpur, New Delhi-110044. The owner named above was interrogated but no fruitful result was achieved. The investigation revealed that the burglars had used fake numbers on the car. Smelling involvement of racket the dedicated team was asked to share the information with the team already constituting at PS Prasad Nagar as similar incidents of burglary were also reported at PS Prasad Nagar. The said scorpio car was now under the radar of not only dedicated team but also with all the picket and patrolling staff of both the police station. Besides, the important clues were also shared with each and every team members to nab the burglars.
On the basis of vital inputs of information shared among the members of team and development of resources and human intelligence about the accused persons, on 07.07.2020 at about 11 AM, HC Rohtash Singh received a secret information that two boys with illegal weapon with them having white color Scorpio car and have committed burglary in the area of PS Karol Bagh and PS Prasad Nagar, may come in the border roads/area of both the police station in order to commit offences. On this information dedicated teams were alerted. However, one of the team consisting of HC Rohtash 124/C, Ct. Shyam Sunder, No. 1276/C and Ct. Vijay Singh, No. 1820/C who were on patrolling duty started checking the vehicles at Sablania Chowk, Ganga Mandir Marg, Karol Bagh, Delhi. During checking, the suspected car sitting therein two boys and one of them driving the said white colour Scorpio car No. DL 4CAV 3935 was coming from DBG road on Ganga Mandir Marg, Karol Bagh, Delhi was spotted and stopped. However, both the boys were trying to fled away. With the alertness and professionalism of staff deployed there, both the boys overpowered by HC Rohitas Singh and other staff.

INTERROGATION :

During initial interrogation, driver of the car identified as Rajbir Singh Chauhan S/o Vishnu Chauhan R/o Village Sorkha, Sector 115, Noida, UP age 24 Years while other one was identified as Amit Singh Solanki S/o Shyambir Singh Solanki R/o Village Sorkha, Sector 115, Noida, UP age 30 Years. During search i.e. personal search of Rajbir Singh Chauhan a country made pistol along with two live cartridge, a canon printer, a gas cylinder and a delivery slip recovered from scorpio car bearing the forged number plate and implements of house breaking were recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 188/20 dated 07.07.2020 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS Prasad Nagar was registered and investigation was taken up.

Then the accused persons were put to sustained interrogation by dedicated team under guidance of ACP/Karol Bagh, Delhi and it was revealed that the Scorpio car was purchased on 3.7.2020 and the payment against this car was made out of proceeds of stolen amount in case FIR u/s 380/457 IPC, PS Prasad Nagar and FIR u/s 380/457 IPC, PS Prasad Nagar, Delhi. The said scorpio car with forged number plate has been seized as case property. It is further revealed that the accused persons used to operate in another car to commit the offence however, that car too was seized at the time of arrest in the cases of Indrapuram, Ghaziabad, UP. It is also revealed that without vehicle, the gang was handicapped and this is the reason the gang leader Rajbir Singh Chauhan purchased the scorpio car which he used in commission of two incidents reported at PS Karol Bagh and PS Prasad Nagar respectively within two days.
Thereafter, the P/C remand of both the accused persons named above were taken after their interrogation and formal arrest by the staff of police station Karol Bagh, Delhi. During P/C remand the dedicated team was asked to investigate the case reported vide FIR u/s 380/457 IPC PS Karol Bagh, Delhi. During the PC remand of both the accused persons, they were interrogated at length and scientific mode of investigation was also introduced. After their sustained interrogation, cash amounting to Rs. 50,000/-, one wall fan of Crompton company, two pair of stolen shoes were recovered at the instance of both the accused person. Besides, the parentage and address of two of the remaining three accomplices have been clearly established. Besides, the phone number of third accused has also been identified and very soon the accomplice will also be identified.

MODUS OPERANDI

The main accused Rajbir Singh have acquaintance with one of the accused Bablu, as sister of the Bablu is married in the native village of Rajbir Singh. Later on to fulfill their dreams of earning easy money, they started committing crime in Noida and Ghaziabad. Both of them arrested in a case of burglary in Ghaziabad and in jail they met Raj also name Ghosh Alam. After their release from jail they started committing crime in Delhi as they had develop a friendship with local Delhities Raj Ghosh Alam. With Ghosh Alam they also came in contact with Dheeraj as Dheeraj used to arrange receivers in various cities of Haryana i.e. Dadri, Bhawani etc. to sell of the stolen goods. Later on Bablu also invited his brother Amit Singh Solanki in their team. They do not carry their mobile phones to hide their involvement in the commission of crime. They used to carry different vehicles with fake number plates to commit crime of different areas of Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad, UP.

It is further revealed that the leader of this gang is Rajbir Singh Chauhan and he is popularly known Raja Thakur and in the name of Raja Thakur he was previously arrested. He is very sharp minded burglar and he does not use smart phone or any phone while out for committing crime. With the intervention of Raja and Dheeraj, the gang under him have committed series of burglaries in Delhi, UP and Haryana.
