The joint team of P.S. Patel Nagar and Special Staff of Central District has apprehended two auto lifter namely Sanjay aged 25 years and Firoj aged 24 years and recovered three stolen Activa scooties. Thus three cases of M.V. Theft have been solved.
TEAM & OPERATION
To curb the recent spurt in MV theft cases, a joint team first team led by Inspector Ramesh Lamba, SHO/Patel Nagar comprising of SI Satyavir, ASI Rohtash, Ct Bhupender and Ct Manish under the supervision of Sh. Piyush Jain, ACP/Patel Nagar and second team led by Inspector Lalit Kumar, I/C Special Staff comprising of ASI Yogender, ASI Baljeet, Ct Amit, Ct Mahinder and Ct Sandeep under the supervision of Sh. O.P. Lekhwal, ACP/Operation, Central District, Delhi was formed. The team collected intelligence in the area and gathered information.
On 24.07.2020, secret information was received to ASI Yogender that two person are roaming in Baljeet Nagar on a stolen scooty. On receipt of this information, the joint team started checking the two wheelers in the area of P.S. Patel Nagar. Meanwhile, at about 3:20 PM two persons came from Baljeet Nagar on a Honda Activa Scooty and on seeing police team, they tried to run away on scooty but the police team intercepted them and managed to overpower them near Rock Garden, Patel Nagar. Both were identified as Sanjay and Firoj. They were asked to show the ownership of the scooty bearing no. DL10SS3832 but he failed to produce the papers and starting misleading the police team. After interrogation, they disclosed that they had stolen the scooty from Patel Nagar area on 18.06.20. During further verification on ZIP Net, the scooty was found stolen vide e-FIR u/s 379 IPC PS Patel Nagar. During further interrogation, they disclosed that they had stolen many scooty from different areas of Delhi. Hence, during raids conducted on their instance two more scooties have been recovered. On verification, it is revealed that scooty bearing No DL5SBD6676 wass stolen vide e-FIR dated 17.03.20 u/s 379 IPC P.S. Karol Bagh, Delhi and scooty bearing No DL10SB5417 has been stolen vide e-FIR dated 20.12.19 u/s 379 IPC P.S. Tilak Nagar, Delhi have been stolen. Both the persons have been arrested. Both the accused persons were subjected to sustained interrogation, in which it was revealed that they are involved in stealing of sccoty and used stolen scooty to commit the crime. After committing crime they parked scooty at abandon places.
