On 30.09.20 at PCR call regarding robbery of a bag containing gold jewelry weighing 980 gm was received. Complainant Umesh Bhosle, Maharashtra aged 33 years stated that he was going to Pitampura for marketing and when he reached Jhakhira flyover, two persons came on a black color bike and they injured him with sharp edged weapon like knife and robbed his black color leather bag containing the said jewellery and ran away towards Punjabi Bagh on bike. On the basis of statement of Umesh, a case vide FIR U/s 392/394/397/34 IPC was registered at P.S Anand Parbat.
Accordingly, a team consisting of Inspr. Mukesh Antil, SHO/Anand Parbat, SI Amit, SI Shiv Prakash, Ct. Surender 1525/C, Ct. Surender 1071/C and Ct. Nitesh 812/C was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Piyush Jain, ACP/PTN.
To nab the criminals, secret sources were deployed and local intelligence developed. During investigation, the scene of crime was reconstructed. The complainant was also asked to join the investigation. The complainant was interrogated at length. He told that he is working as sales man in Shrichand Shrawan Kumar Jewellers at Karol Bagh for the last 1.5 years. He further stated that he was going for marketing of gold jewellery weighing approx 985 gms to Pitam Pura. He further stated that when he reached at Zakhira Flyover, two persons came on motorcycle and robbed bag containing the said jewelry and fled away from the spot. He was also injured by them.
During investigation, CCTV cameras were checked and CDRs of the complainant was analyzed. There were some major contradictions in his statement which created suspicion. As such he was interrogated thoroughly and confronted with the facts gathered from other sources, he broke down. He disclosed that he was in dire need of money as he was going to get married. On this, he hatched a conspiracy to grab the jewelry of his employer.
On 30-09-2020 as per plan, Umesh Bhonsle took gold jewellery weighing approx. 985 grams in a leather bag as routine work and proceed toward Pitam Pura for marketing. He kept the said bag in office of owner’s brother at Karol Bagh as he went there on daily basis for lunch and dinner. Thereafter, he reached at Zakhira Flyover and caused simple hurt to himself by the sharp nail for misleading the police. After that he made a PCR call regarding robbery. At the instance of accused Umesh Bhonsle, total gold jewelry items were recovered.
