Central District Delhi Police in association with Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi started a “Plasma Donation Campaign” for Delhi Police personnel

Central District Delhi Police in association with Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi started a “Plasma Donation Campaign” for Delhi Police personnel at 11 AM on 18th August 2020. The campaign was flagged off by Sh. Suvashis Chaudhary, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police, Central Range in presence of Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Director Lok Nayak Hospital and Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, DCP Central. On the very first day of campaign, 118 police persons from various Districts/Units of Delhi Police have got themselves registered for donating the Plasma.

The noble campaign of Plasma Donation will be a continuous one and Delhi Police persons who have recovered from COVID-19 will continue donating the plasma as per norms on regular basis. As hospitals are facing shortage of Plasma for treatment of COVID-19 patients, the initiative will go a long way in mitigating the shortage.
