7 MISSING CHILDREN RECOVERED UNDER OPERATION MILAP

As per the direction of PHQ, the pending investigation cases of Central District were scrutinized in which missing children were still untraced. A special team was constituted in each sub division comprising concerned ACsP, SHOs, Inspector Investigation and IOs. In order to get any clue or information about missing children each and every case was minutely scrutinized by the team under the overall supervision of Addl. DCP-I Sh. Rohit Meena. The team made efforts on each and every clue and finally succeeded in recovering of 7 missing children in different cases and restored to their lawful guardian.

FIRST INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 04.11.2019 a case vide FIR No. 175/19, U/s 363 IPC was registered on the complaint of NGO Sathi Sanstha when it was reported that a child aged about 12 years went missing. During investigation concerted efforts were made by the IO ASI Daryao Singh. Keeping in view of the sensitivity of the case a dedicated team of PS Rajinder Nagar was formed and efforts were made to search for the missing child in nearby area as well as in the adjoining area. CCTV footage were checked, WT messages were flashed, information for publication was sent and team were also deployed to search at railway station and Bus Adda and in orphanage. Compliance of SO No 252/2019 were meticulously done. Posters of the missing child was prepared and distributed in the area, and in various orphanage.
Further, the ACP Sub Division/Karol Bagh gave an instruction note to the IO. In compliance with the direction of ACP, the IO managed to obtain clue about the missing child in Jalandhar Punjab. Ct. Mangi Lal visited the address of the child at Jalandhar Punjab where he made concerted efforts to trace the child. However, Ct. Mangi Lal only managed to get some clue about the missing child that his being at Ghaziabad. Further, ASI Daryao Singh along with Ct. Mangi Lal and Ct. Sanwarmal made a frantic search at Railway Stations of Ghaziabad and Anand Vihar and finally by showing the photographs of the missing child, the team succeeded in recovering the child from Indirapuram, Ghaziabad UP. The statement of the child was recorded U/s 164 CrPC before the Duty MM at Tis Hazari Court. Further, statement of the missing child was recorded at CWC, Mayur Vihar and the custody of the child was given to his mother.

SECOND INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 18.03.2019 a case vide FIR No. 31/19, U/s 363 IPC was registered on the complaint of father of missing girl. He alleged that his daughter went missing from New Rajinder Nagar where he worked as a labourer. During investigation, IO SI Krishanpal made concerted efforts to trace the missing girl. The case file was further scrutinized by the ACP/Sub-Division Karol Bagh who directed the IO to obtain every possible clue about the missing child. The IO got some clue about the girl and visited Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh. After subsequent raids in MP and Delhi, finally the girl was recovered from Delhi. The missing girl was later produced before the MM where her statement U/s 164 CrPC was recorded and she was further produced before the CWC Mayur Vihar. After counseling of the missing girl at CWC, she was kept in an NGO as per the direction of the CWC. Further Legal action is being taken according to the statement of victim.

THIRD INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 18.02.2020 a case vide FIR No. 40/20, U/s 363 IPC was registered on the complaint of Mother of victim r/o Bapa Nagar, Karol Bagh, Delhi, she reported that her daughter aged about 17 years went missing. During investigation concerted efforts were made by the IO ASI Mirpal Singh. Further, the case file was scrutinized by the ACP Sub Division who gave an instruction note to the IO. In compliance with the direction of ACP, the IO managed to obtain a clue about missing girl. On analysis of CDR, ASI Mirpal Singh and Ct. Vasudev and W/Ct Indira visited Hardoi, UP where he made concerted efforts to trace the child. However, they only managed to get some clue about the missing child that is his being at village Khanigaon Kala, Hardoi, UP. Further, ASI Mirpal Singh, Ct. Vasudev and W/Ct Indira made a frantic search at a village located at Hardoi, UP. The child was recovered from that village in Hardoi, UP. The statement of the child was recorded U/s 164 CrPC before the Duty MM at Tis Hazari Court. Further, statement of the missing child was recorded at CWC, Mayur Vihar and the custody of the child was given to his parents. It was only after strenuous efforts of these staff that the police succeeded in recovering the child.

FOURTH INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 03.01.2020 a case vide FIR No. 02/20, U/s 363 IPC was registered it was reported that daughter of complainant aged about 17 years went missing. During investigation concerted efforts were made by the IO ASI Suresh Kumar. Further, the ACP Sub Division Karol Bagh scrutinized the case file and gave an instruction note to the IO. In compliance with the direction of ACP, the IO managed to obtain a clue about missing girl. ASI Suresh Kumar & Ct. Kuldeep, 987/C visited the address of the child at Yamuna Nagar, Haryana where he made concerted efforts to trace the child. However, they only managed to get some clue about the missing child of her being at Panipat, Haryana. Further, ASI Suresh Kumar along with W/Ct. Sunita made a frantic search at Panipat, Haryana. The child was recovered from Panipat, Haryana. The statement of the child was recorded U/s 164 CrPC before the Duty MM at Tis Hazari Court. Further, statement of the missing child was recorded at CWC, Mayur Vihar and the custody of the child was given to his parents. The efforts of ASI Suresh Kumar, W/Ct. Sunita, 2224/C and Ct. Kuldeep, 987/C deserve to be commended. It was only after strenuous efforts of these staff that the police succeeded in recovering the child.

FIFTH INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 09.05.2016, a case vide FIR No 349/16 u/s 363 IPC was registered at PS Karol Bagh on the complaint of father of victim child residing at Pandav Nagar, Ranjit Nagar Delhi as a tenant who reported regarding missing/kidnapping of his daughter, aged 17 years from Karol Bagh Metro Station since 06/05/16. Keeping in view of the sensitivity of the case, ACP Karol Bagh gave an instruction note to investigation officer and a dedicated team of PS Karol Bagh was formed and search were made in nearby area as well as the adjoining districts. CCTV footage were checked, WT message were flashed information for publication was sent and team were also deployed to search at railway station Bus stand and orphanage. Compliances of SO NO. 252/2019 were made meticulously. Posters of the missing child were prepared and distributed in the area, and in various orphanage. Then a team was sent to Bangluru and there it was found that the girl had already arrived to Delhi. Information of tracing of child has been sent to the family members of the child and statement u/s 164 CrPC has been recorded and further investigation is continued.

SIXTH INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 06.02.2020, a case vide FIR No 59/20 u/s 363 IPC was registered at PS Karol Bagh on the complaint of father of victim children, who reported regarding missing/kidnapping of his two daughters aged 21 years and 17 and ½ years from Karol Bagh. Keeping in view of the sensitivity of the cases a dedicated team of PS Karol Bagh was formed and search were made in nearby area as well as the neighboring districts and team was sent at Partapur, District Meerut U.P. and it was found that one girl who was minor came by herself and for the other girl concerted efforts were made by the different teams and the phone of suspected person was put on surveillance. During investigation, it was found that the girl had married with someone. Information of tracing of child has been sent to the family members of the child and further formalities/investigation are being continued.

SEVENTH INCIDENT UNDER OPERATION MILAP:-

On 03.07.2020, a case vide FIR No 221/20 u/s 363 IPC was registered at PS Chandni Mahal on the complaint of Ms. XYZ R/o District Katihar, Bihar regarding missing/kidnapping of her son namely ‘PQR’, aged 12 years from Turkman gate. He alleged that child had gone missing since 24/06/20. Keeping in view of the sensitivity of the case a dedicated team of PS chandni Mahal was formed and search were made in nearby area as well as the neighboring districts. CCTV footage were checked, WT message were flashed information for publication was sent and team were also deployed to search at railway station bus adda and orphanage. Compliance of SO No. 252/2019 were meticulously done. Posters of the missing child was prepared and distributed in the area, and in various orphanage. All out efforts were made to trace the child but no clue was found. Finally, a team was sent at District Katihar, Bihar at the local address of the child and search was made by the team in the village and nearby villages. During investigation, a clue was found that the missing child left the house in Delhi along with four other children for home (Bihar) but near old Delhi railway station the missing child left the company of other children and refused to return home. On this information the dedicated team concentrated the search once again near railway station and posters and pamphlets were also pasted and distributed near old Delhi railway station and the pain staking efforts of the staff yielded when the missing boy was traced from the area of Old Delhi Railway Station. Further formalities/investigation are being followed.

The family of recovered child appreciated the hard work of police in restoring of their children.
