16 Year Old Arrested By Central District Staff In Attempt To Robbery, Found Deadly Weapon

The Special Staff of Central District has apprehended one JCL aged 16 years involved in a attempt to robbery case. One knife, used in the commission of crime has also been recovered. Thus one case of Attempt to Robbery with deadly weapon stands solved.


On 14.07.2020 at about 10:15 pm, complainant Pintu aged 20 years from Bihar who works with a iron shop situated in Anand Prabat reached at Rohtak Road the unknown assailant came and tried to rob his mobile phone and started to scuffle with the complainant. But the complainant resisted and kept hold of his mobile phone. The assailant in the fury took out his knife and tried to stab him. The complainant took the blow on his hands and sustained injuries. When the complainant raised alarm the assailant ran away from the spot. Meanwhile, Beat staff reached the spot and the injured was rushed to RML Hospital and got him admitted. Subsequently, case vide FIR under section 393/397 IPC, PS Anand Prabat was registered and investigation was taken up.


It is a blind attempt to robbery case. Considering the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated joint team consisting of Inspr. Lalit Kumar I/C Special Staff, ASI Yogender, Ct. Mahinder, Ct. Amit and Ct. Sandeep under the supervision of Sh. Shri O.P. Lekhwal, ACP/Operations, Central District and Inspr. Mukesh Antil SHO/Anand Prabat, SI Amit, ASI Rajesh, Ct Naveen and Ct Naveen Narwal under the supervision of Sh. Piyush Jain, ACP/Patel Nagar was formed. The team members were assigned with specific tasks to get any kind of clue about the assailant.


During investigation, the team made sincere efforts and after minute study of the incidents, it was revealed that the assailant was targeting person who came alone after finishing their work in late night hours. The assailant used to carry deadly weapon to thwart any resistance.
Further, with the help of CCTV footage and technical surveillance, it was revealed that the assailant might be related with the area of Anand Prabat and apparently a Juvenile.
The police joint team deployed their sources and laid traps at major points near Rohtak Road particularly during late night hours.
The police team continued their operation and worked upon every minute lead. On 18.07.2020, Ct Mahinder, Special Staff received information that one JCL is involved in this attempt to robbery case and would come to Rohtak Raod. As per the information, the joint team laid a trap near corner of Gali No 8 & 9, Anand Prabat. The painstaking efforts of the team bore fruit when at about 6:45 pm, one persons was seen coming from Rohtak Road. The team immediately swung into action. On seeing the police team the person tried to sped away but the vigilant teams apprehended him.
During his personal search, one knife was recovered. After questioning, he disclosed his involvement in commission of the said crime. Assailant/JCL was apprehended. He was sent to Observation Home.
